Describe your hair before getting microlocs.
Natural.
What hairstyles did you used to wear the most before getting microlocs?
I wore weaves to about 5 - 6 years, then transitioned to two strand twists and braids.

What made you decide to install microlocs?
I was sick and tired of my life and choices revolving around my hair. I needed hair freedom!
What’s your go-to-hairstyle?
I mostly wear my hair down.
How do you maintain your locs and what products do you use regularly?
Retie every 6 - 8 weeks. I wash every 3 - 4 weeks. I make my own herbal sprays and use a little bit of oil on my scalp and on occasion the length of my hair.
What do you love most about your locs and why?
I love the freedom and the time that I have gained back from being locked. No more hours long wash days.
What has been the biggest challenge or adjustment?
No challenges for me!
What’s something you wish you knew before getting loc’d?
I wish I knew the various choices of locs.
What advice would you give someone considering installing Sisterlocks or microlocs?
Just do it and be patient! Thickness and length don’t happen overnight.
